Backaches and Sewing Don’t Mix

Hi all!

You may have noticed I haven’t been too regular about posting lately. A large part of that is because I have been struggling with really bad back pain. Not only is the back pain making me not really wanting to do anything… but I have also realized that sewing is especially bad. I have so many projects in my mental queue and haven’t really been able to do them! I have been crocheting, but not as much as I would like. Due to my not really creating much combined with my pain… I just haven’t been pushing myself to post as I should.

Have you experienced back pain? Do you have any tips and tricks for how to sew more comfortably when it hurts?

Hopefully in the coming days/weeks I will get back to my regular schedule of posting.

In the meantime, I have been reading lots of books and listening to lots of audiobooks! I would HIGHLY recommend The Four Tenderncies by Gretchen Rubin. (Purchase it here- The Four Tendencies: The Indispensable Personality Profiles That Reveal How to Make Your Life Better (and Other People’s Lives Better, Too) )

It just came out and is phenomenal. My questioner husband and I (a rebel) have been able to have some really interesting talks because of the ideas brought up in her book and have been getting to know each other (and ourselves) even better. The basic idea of the book is that people fall into one of Four Tendencies when it comes to goals, accountability, and motivation. Definitely check it out!

Back pain is the worst. I try to stretch when that happens to me, fortunately it’s not too often. I also try to stand when I’m at work, so that I don’t sit for too long. I hope you feel better soon
