I am 35 years old today. I feel like I am still 21. It’s weird getting older. Like, am I an adult now?

Anyway, here are 35 goals for the next year of my life:

  1. Enjoy each day
  2. Loosen up
  3. Love myself for who I am
  4. Respect myself for who I am
  5. Talk to more animals
  6. Be present
  7. Stop ruminating about the past
  8. Stop worrying about the future
  9. Play the video game
  10. But do the work too
  11. Express gratitude every day
  12. Notice more
  13. Bake the cookies
  14. Go for the walk
  15. Use the good lotion
  16. Let other people handle their own problems unless they ask for help
  17. Realistically schedule
  18. Throw away the schedule sometimes
  19. Try new things
  20. Appreciate the old things
  21. Call loved ones more just to say Hi
  22. Color
  23. Thank my Heavenly Father for tender mercies
  24. Wear the fuzzy socks
  25. Paint my nails
  26. Sing along
  27. Experience the changing seasons
  28. Always recognize birthdays and holidays
  29. Be a friend, even when they don’t deserve you
  30. Notice my own positive virtues, not just the negative
  31. Pet the cat
  32. Take medicine when you have a headache
  33. Simplify
  34. Never let my husband feel unloved
  35. BE ME
