Have you heard of Planet Coaster? It’s available on Steam for around $45 right now (although I’m sure it will go on sale sometime too). If you ever played Rollercoaster Tycoon or any of the theme park building games… it’s kind of like that only way more advanced.
Obviously, the point of the game is that you can build and run your own theme park. But what sets this game apart is the level of customization you can do. You can make your own roller coasters and test them, you can ride any of the rides, you can design your own shops and decorations.
You have full control over all of the park management (hiring janitors or costumed entertainers, costs of rides, etc.
Honestly, one of the things I love the most about this game is the beauty of it. They did a phenomenal job on the graphics! Also, I appreciate that you don’t have to customize everything. When I want to just play a little more laid back simple game I can just use what is already built into the game (which is a lot) and just play it like any other sim theme park type of game.
I love this game. Even though I get motion sickness when I “ride” the roller coasters (I get motion sickness just sitting in the backseat of a car or playing Borderlands… so that’s just me being weird). If you want to see a little of how the gameplay works, check out my brother’s YouTube video!
