Star Wars Denim Blanket

I found this great flannel Star Wars fabric at JoAnn Fabrics and had to buy it, although I had no idea what to do with it (don’t tell the hubby that… oh… hi hubby!).

Anyway, I finally decided that it would make a great backing for a denim blanket. I love making denim blankets with flannel backings because both materials are so thick that I don’t need to put any batting in between them. I have a similar blanket that I am actually wrapped up in right now that is flannel & denim and it’s so warm and cozy! So, I just did a very basic pattern with the denim with strips and pockets in varying colors.

I love how it turned out.  I wanted to keep it for myself… but I was nice and gave it to my brother.  Although I may make another one for me! 🙂  Oh, and that bottom right picture makes it look like it’s not even on both sides– it really is. That is just me being bad at taking pictures apparently!
