Block Stitch Baby Blanket

Isn’t it pretty?

I made this baby blanket using the Caron Simply Soft yarn, so it is really nice and soft! I love the bright colors in it with the teal. I had a lot of fun making this one with these cheerful colors.

To crochet this blanket I used the Block Stitch which you can find several tutorials for by doing a web search. It’s a classic stitch that makes such a beautiful result.  It is a little time consuming, especially if you are using a different color in between (as I did with the cream color), but you can make so many beautiful variations doing this!

This blanket measures 36″ by 34″ and is actually available for sale on my Etsy store by clicking HERE

For the border I just used a basic triple crochet and single crochet in the cream color all the way around.
